Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Nigeria: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Nigeria showed varied performance metrics, according to Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 13K and 52K. The app's active users exhibited a slight dip early in the quarter but rebounded to around 445K by the end of March.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from a modest 53 and peaking at over 2.2K. This growth mirrored its active user base, which expanded from 390 to nearly 5.5K by quarter's end. Revenue for MapXplorer also rose gradually, reaching $141 in the last week of March.

Google Earth downloads started strong at over 4.5K but tapered off to around 315 by the end of Q1. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase, ending the quarter at approximately 4.2K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent download rate, hovering around the 250-360 range. Active users showed minor fluctuations, averaging close to 9K throughout the period.

iLocation: Here! experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting at 301 and dropping to 143 by March. However, its active user count remained steady, averaging around 4.5K.
